What do you get when you put a small town couple in a big city downtown? A darling couple making pure magic happen in front of my camera! I had so much fun with Calie and Clayton last week, and I cannot wait to share their Indianapolis canal walk engagement photos with you!
Calie and Clayton met unexpectedly in a foregin country!
They were both attending a study abroad trip with Purdue University in Costa Rica to learn about the amazing self-sufficient farms! During their trip they got to know each other while studying (and maybe a little ziplining!), and before they knew it sparks were flying!
With both being from a small town, they both had an interest in working in the farming community, and ended up graduating with degrees that would allow them to do so. Clayton works on his family farm in Seymour, Indiana, while Calie works as a loan officer for a farm loan company! Right now they do long distance from Seymour to Louisville, but I know they can’t wait until they can move in together after their wedding! The weekends that they do have together, they love snuggling up on the couch, hiking and going on long walks with their pups!
When Clayton was ready to propose to Calie, he did so when they were visiting Calie’s family.
They were walking through a park looking at Christmas lights, when Clayton got down on one knee and asked Calie to marry him! The proposal fits this couple so well- simple, easy going and romantic! It was just perfect!
After looking through my suggestions on our wedding guide, Calie decided on Indianapolis canal walk engagement photos!
They were interested in both the canal walk and White River State Park, so when I told them that we could do both since they’re within walking distance from each other, they were ecstatic! It was the perfect mix for them offering a variety of options for backdrops in such a short distance, which we all appreciated given how chilly it was that day! I thought any minute Calie and Clayton were going to turn into icicles without winter coats, but they were troopers throughout the whole thing! They made sure to keep each other as warm as possible by snuggling close during the different poses that I put them in. This extra cuddliness and gusts of wind gave us some really cute and romantic shots!
Congratulations Calie and Clayton!
