Wedding planners are connected to a network of vendors. Oftentimes these vendors are ones that your wedding planner has worked with and can vouch for! For example, if you’re looking for a wedding photographer with a certain editing style that’s in a certain price range, she can recommend a handful that best fit your needs, so that you don’t have to sift through google for hours on end! If you’re looking for something unique to add to your wedding decor, she can find it for you! This is just another reason why you should hire a wedding planner for your special day!
They’ll communicate with your vendors throughout the wedding planning process!
Securing vendors for your wedding day comes with plenty of contracts and paperwork, but luckily this is all a part of most wedding planners job description. A few months before your wedding day, she will also coordinate with vendors to create the perfect timeline for the day and make sure that everyone arrives on time and is good to go before your day begins!

Another reason you should hire a wedding planner is they will help you with the overall design, and can be the one to bluntly (but nicely!) tell you that those gold chargers you love so much are just not going to be a good fit for the overall design. THIS IS EVERYTHING! This is why we highly recommend that all of our couples hire at least a month of wedding planner. They will be able to show up on your wedding day, knowing exactly what the plan is, and be able to execute it seamlessly so that you can sip your champagne stress free while soaking in every moment alongside your new husband or wife!
Also, please remember that a venue coordinator IS NOT the same thing as a wedding planner. A venue coordinator is simply there to oversee the venue during the event, not your actual wedding timeline and vendors. This is the biggest reason why you should hire a wedding planner for your day!
You’re having a destination wedding
When I was planning my destination wedding in Colorado, it was a no-brainer to hire a wedding planner since I didn’t know any vendors in the area! She was able to give me a concise list of wedding vendors based on my initial thoughts, and from there I chose the right vendors for my day! Luckily, we were able to fly out for things like the caterer and cake tasting, but if we hadn’t been able to, your wedding planner can often do that for you if you’d like! Having that local inside knowledge will be instrumental to building a wedding dream team from afar!
