Whether your baby is just starting to sit, crawling everywhere, or showing off their big personality, my Indianapolis and Carmel area milestone photography sessions are simple, relaxed, and completely baby-led. The goal is to capture this season exactly as it feels right now—before it slips into the next one.
I offer milestone sessions throughout baby's first year including sitter sessions at 6-9 months and full one year sessions complete with a cake smash. Each session can be photographed in my downtown Indianapolis studio or at an outdoor location throughout the Carmel and Indianapolis area.
Babies change so much in that first year—and somehow, it all happens in the blink of an eye.

Plan your session
I’ll guide you through the entire session while keeping things relaxed and natural. No pressure, no perfect behavior required. Just show up, love on your people, and I’ll take care of the rest.
Session Day
Your gallery will be ready within 2–3 weeks. From there, you’ll download your gallery and choose your favorites that you want to print. If you added an album onto your session, I’ll design a beautiful, high-end album for you to keep, flip through on your coffee table often, and pass down to your children one day.

It’s best to book 2–3 months in advance, especially in the spring and fall when dates fill up quickly. Once you book, we’ll stay flexible and finalize the best date as your schedule takes shape.
That's a "me" problem. :) We will coordinate our session time with a window where they're happy, but also allows for the best light in the studio or outdoors. But at the end of the day, babies are babies, and if they're not in the best mood I have lots of tricks. Small snacks, paci's, wiggle breaks, music and many games of peek a boo help me to get what I need so that when you see your gallery, you'll think "wow, she really worked some magic!"
I offer a complimentary styling service to make choosing outfits simple and fun. You'll get personalized suggestions (plus links to shop if needed!) based on your family’s sizes and your favorite color schemes. You’ll also have access to my client closet, stocked with a variety of dresses ready for you — steamed and session-ready. For your child, I recommend at 2 outfits for variety.
Yes! Most Indianapolis milestone clients opt for the studio for a clean and neutral look, but we can also go to an outdoor location for that glowy golden hour light. I have props I bring to my sessions wherever we go- such as a antique Jenny Lind white high chair and various stools and chairs. We can talk about other fun ideas, such as balloons, banners etc.
Milestone sessions are a mix of a family session with more time spent on portraits of your baby, and if their turning one- a cake smash at the end. Clients often bring props such as a small smash cake, a balloon, favorite stuffy's or anything else sentimental. Milestone sessions are the perfect way to get both updated family photos as well as portraits of your little one to remember them at this age.
