Fishers Family Photographer to the rescue! It all started with a direct message on Instagram. Alyssa, a member of the Wagner family from Fishers, Indiana, was in a bit of a rush. Their brother was about to embark on a new journey to Indonesia that Sunday, and they desperately wanted to squeeze in a family photo session before he left. With the holidays around the corner, they knew it was the perfect gift for their mom if they could find someone.
Without much time to spare, Alyssa reached out, asking if I could be their Fishers family photographer for the weekend. The catch? It had to be done by Sunday. Even though it was last-minute, there was an urgency and excitement in her messages that I couldn’t resist.
A Warm Welcome at Geist Reservoir for this Fishers family photographer
After a bit of back-and-forth, we settled on a time and date. There was a small twist, though – my husband was out of town, and I had my kids at home with me. I found a babysitter for my toddler, but told her my three-month-old would have to come. Without hesitation, Alyssa welcomed us all with open arms and the Wagner family was so warm even rocking my son’s car seat at one point when he was upset.
Capturing Moments on Geist Reservoir
The day arrived, and with my son nestled comfortably in his car seat, we set out to the Wagner home on Geist Reservoir. The picturesque setting along the water provided the ideal backdrop for their family photo session. With Alyssa’s parents and her sister’s family, which included a one-week-old newborn and an energetic toddler, it was chaotic fun (which is our norm at home!)
Despite the last-minute nature of the session, the Wagner family radiated joy and love, creating beautiful moments that were a pleasure to capture. As the designated Fishers family photographer for the day, I couldn’t have asked for a better family to photograph.
What began as a hurried Instagram message to find a Fishers family photographer, turned into a cherished collection of family memories. The Wagner family’s openness and genuine spirit made it an unforgettable session, proving once again that the best moments are often the unplanned ones!
