When I first met Lisa for brunch at Cafe Patachou, I immediately knew that with her amazing taste and creativity that it would be so much fun to collaborate together for a styled shoot. Almost a year later, that vision came to life for a Woodstock Country Club wedding in Indianapolis, Indiana! This styled shoot gives all of the retro Mid Century Modern (or Mrs. Maisel anyone?!) vibes – Lisa Van Horten Weddings did an incredible job dreaming up this entire day. I am so proud to have been a part of this collaboration with local Indianapolis wedding vendors, and oh my goodness, did it turn out well! Styled shoots give us in the wedding industry a chance to be creative, make connections, and of course, have fun! A huge thank you to Lisa for taking the lead on organizing this gorgeous shoot!

It’s hard not to go to Palm Springs, California, without feeling inspired to add more color and fun prints into your life. So naturally I was so excited when Lisa Van Horten reached out to join her on this styled shoot! Lisa is a full service wedding planner here in Indianapolis who provides wedding management and coordination. She is one of the most creative people I know! She had so much fun going through antique vintage shops for vintage touches and inspiration. Her vision of this Woodstock Country Club Wedding in Indianapolis, Indiana was executed flawlessly!

We are lucky to have so much talent in the Indianapolis, Indiana area! If you are in need of any vendors for your special day – look no further than this group to help you step outside of the box. This was my first time photographing at the Woodstock Club, and I loved this classic venue! Violet Vintage Rentals helped us bring in additional items to outfit the space in retro accessories and furniture, and it really allowed us to use the club as a blank canvas. I will never get over the tablescapes that this team pulled together – Lisa’s perfect decor selections, bold flowers from Special Occasions by Chrissy, and a colorful cake from Sweet Paige’s Cakes.
I had so much fun styling the Interprintations invitations and all of the textures and colors just make me so happy!! And not to mention, our awesome model had the most perfect short and textured dress from Nancy’s Bridal Boutique, with her look complete with one of the best in the industry, Laura Snyder Hair and makeup from BeatBySuziee. This was a great reminder to me of how much having a theme for your wedding day can impact and create that “Wow” factor. And of course, just how valuable having a wedding planner like Lisa Van Horten Weddings is to pull all of your ideas for it together!
