Shortly after we moved to Carmel in spring of 2021, I got an inquiry from Taylor and Zach for their wedding in July of 2023! With COVID rescheduling several weddings into 2022, they wanted to make sure that they would have no issues booking the venue that they really wanted on their date!
So when they booked their wedding with me, at that point in my life, their wedding was the only thing I knew of going on in my life in 2023! As wedding photographers, we typically have weddings planned out a year or more in advance, but as for Taylor and Zach, they will have been on my calendar for over two years by the time we get to their wedding date! To space things out a bit, they had their engagement session with me just last week, and I’m so excited to share more previews from their Spring Newfields engagement photos in Indianapolis!
Taylor and Zach have actually known each other since they were in elementary school!
However, it wasn’t until high school that they really got to know each other working for Kroger grocery store in their hometown of Fort Wayne, Indiana! When Taylor swung by work to grab some boxes to pack for college, Zach finally asked her for her phone number! They dated as Taylor attended IUPUI, and Zach went to Purdue of Fort Wayne, but after a year Zach decided to move to Indianapolis and transfer to IUPUI so that they could attend college together! How sweet is that? Since then they have loved spending time together trying new restaurants, being dog parents to their sweet Buddy, and frequently enjoying a Friday night at Tibbs Drive In Theater!
Fast forward years later, Taylor and Zach are both in the working world!
One day when Taylor had come home from a work event, Zach arrived home with Chick-fil-a in hand. While Taylor enjoyed the hot waffle fries that he brought her, Zach snuck back to their bedroom. A few minutes later Zach called Taylor to their bedroom, and when she walked in there were twinkling lights around the bed, a wooden frame for their future engagement photos (these!!) and an engagement ring!
Taylor and Zach’s Spring Newfields engagement photos in Indianapolis was filled with gorgeous tulips and daffodils!
April in Indianapolis can be hit or miss when it comes to Spring blooms due to the unpredictable Midwest weather, but Newfields is usually a safe bet due to all of the tulips that grow this time of year! We were blessed with a gorgeous 70 degree sunny day, and enjoyed every minute, so much that we were one of groups to leave before they closed for the night! Taylor had had her hair trial done earlier that afternoon so that she could have her hair perfect for their Spring Newfields engagement photos.
During their engagement session, it quickly became clear to me that Taylor and Zach were so perfect for each other. Even though Zach reported he has rarely had photos taken before, you would have never been able to tell! They both did amazing and I’m just obsessed with their Spring Newfields engagement photos in Indianapolis!
