Spring has been slow to come, here in Indianapolis, but on Wednesday the temperatures warmed up just in time for Sondra and Dylan’s Monument Circle engagement photos!
Since Sondra and Dylan love living downtown, they figured it was perfect to capture their engagement photos downtown as well! They love living in the Holy Cross neighborhood and being able to walk to everything, even one of their favorite tap rooms, Tomlinson Taproom, where we stopped at towards the end of their session!
Sondra and Dylan are having our talented associate team capture their wedding day, but I was fortunate to be able to capture their engagement photos myself! I can’t begin to explain how much fun it was to meet these two! One of the hardest parts about having an associate team so far is not being able to meet most of their couples in person! Even through email and over the phone, I get to know all of our beautiful brides and wish I could be in more places at once to meet them! All of that aside, I know they are going to be so well taken care of on their wedding day with our amazing associate team behind the camera!
Sondra and Dylan’s love story is 5 star rated!
Sondra used to work Yelp events where she welcomed guests with her bright and cheery smile, and she kept seeing Dylan at the parties. They started to get to know each other through a mutual friend, and developed a new group of friends via Yelp! It wasn’t long after that, that they began dating and have since moved in together to a neighborhood that they love in Holy Cross, just a few minutes from Downtown Indianapolis!
In fact, Sondra and Dylan love their neighborhood so much, they frequently take walks in the evening holding hands, with a drink in the other!
On December 27th, 2021 Sondra and Dylan were doing just that looking at Christmas lights nearby. They walked through several neighborhoods when they ended up back in their neighborhood of Holy Cross and stopped at Highland Park. There’s a great view of the downtown skyline there, where Dylan got down on one knee and proposed to Sondra! She -of course- said, “Yes!” It couldn’t have been more romantic and fitting for these two!
Sondra and Dylan decided on Monument Circle engagement photos for their session!
With busy schedules and June 25th, 2022 approaching quickly, Sondra and Dylan wanted to get their engagement photos taken sooner rather than later. I always encourage couples to choose a more urban setting when spring hasn’t yet sprung, to avoid any bare trees and brown grass. Luckily, Downtown Indianapolis for Monument Circle engagement photos is exactly where Sondra and Dylan wanted to go anyways!
Sondra wore a gorgeous ivory dress that had a lot of fun texture to it, while I could tell Dylan read our wedding guide with a tailored blue button down with slacks! It was quite windy on the evening of their Monument Circle engagement photos, but we made the wind work in our favor to create even more romantic images with her dress and red curly hair blowing in perfectly in the wind!
We then headed to the City Market area just a few blocks away! This was a fun, vintage area that I had never been to before and we stopped at one of their favorite places to grab a beer- Tomlinson Taproom! We both wore their more casual outfit here and made sure to get some fun shots with their favorite brews in hand! I truly enjoyed getting to meet these two!
Congratulations Sondra and Dylan on your Monument Circle engagement photos!
