Michelle and Drew’s airy, open new-construction house made the perfect backdrop for their romantic lifestyle anniversary photos in Indianapolis! It was such a special occasion to celebrate their first anniversary and to celebrate the completion of their brand new home!
Michelle and I met at a wedding last year, and I was so excited when she reached out for lifestyle anniversary photos to celebrate their first year of marriage!
Last August, Michelle and I met while I was second shooting a wedding with a friend at Ritz Charles. The wedding day was so smooth and well thought out, so I was delighted to be sitting next to the wedding coordinator, Michelle of Executive Eye! We immediately hit it off – vendor friends are so special because we share similar experiences and similar schedules! Michelle had a romantic vision of lifestyle anniversary photos in their new Indianapolis home!
Michelle reached out to me via Instagram a few weeks before their session after her original photographer became unavailable. It was by luck that I had the date open, since May is one of our busiest months, and I was so excited to get her and Drew behind my lens! Their new home was just finished, in fact, they just closed on it a few weeks prior. The expansive white walls, empty rooms, and natural light made for the perfect backdrop for their lifestyle anniversary photos in Indianapolis. Michelle and Drew danced in the kitchen, were playful in the hallway, and snuggled in Drew’s soon to be home office. This session was so much fun and so special – I truly wish more couples would celebrate anniversaries with a lifestyle session!

If gorgeous photos in their new home weren’t special enough, I also got to capture Michelle and Drew cutting into the top tier of their wedding cake in honor of their anniversary! The cake still tasted great by the way! It’s not often I get to experience anniversary traditions like this, so I loved shooting this moment for them to have forever.
