I was so honored to capture this stunning baby shower at the gorgeous Cake Bake Shop in Carmel, Indiana! Samantha’s Peter Rabbit themed shower was absolutely perfect – a tasty three course meal, loving friends and family, classic details and decor, and a stunning mom-to-be! Samantha and Baby Kus were showered with so much love, and I can’t wait to share this Cake Bake baby shower on the blog!
Samantha’s Cake Bake baby shower was Peter Rabbit themed, and every detail was darling!
Samantha did an incredible job planning a celebration for her friends and family to join her in kicking off this next chapter of her and Colby’s lives. Many guests drove in from La Porte and beyond to celebrate the mom-to-be, and this shower sure was worth the drive! The Cake Bake Shop here in Carmel is famous for their impeccably decorated interior and delicious menu, and Samantha’s details perfected the space! Her love for classic children’s books inspired her decor – she even bought a collection of small classic books and had her guest write notes to Baby Kus as a guest book.
I was so excited when she brought up flat lay photos a few days before her Cake Bake baby shower – these, along with candid images, are some of my favorite photos to take! We took the most darling photo of her husband’s baby blue outfit that her husband came home with, as well as the shower invite, baby shoes, and vintage stamps. I love how the images turned out – it’s such a great way to capture the event details!
The Cake Bake outdid themselves, as always!
Each guest (including me, which I did not expect) was treated with a 3 course meal of their choice of salad, entree, and cake! Although Cake Bake is known for their desserts of course, their French-inspired menu is delicious! They created a beautiful cake for this shower, complete with little carrots at the base of the cake to match the Peter Rabbit menu. If you are local and haven’t stopped by Cake Bake yet, it is an absolute must!
One of my favorite parts of this Cake Bake baby shower was capturing the joyful expressions of friends and family!
There were many special moments as Samantha’s friends and family came together to celebrate! One of her best friend’s gifted her a vintage copy of Harriet the Spy (one of Samantha’s favorite books) and made Samantha tear up! Her friends also knew how much Samantha and Colby love Halloween, and gave Baby Kus many Halloween outfits. I can’t wait to see Baby Kus’s first Halloween costume! Colby joined the shower at the end, and they matched so perfectly with their blue outfits that they swear they didn’t plan.
Baby Kus is due mid-September, and we are so excited to welcome this little boy to the world!
I can’t help but give a shout out to Samantha, who is a brilliant oncologist who specializes in sarcomas! She even co-hosts a podcast called Two Onc Docs. Baby Kus is so lucky to have such loving, gorgeous, and talented parents!
