One thing I learned about Joe, the groom, was that he is a former tennis pro and now a tennis instructor just outside of Chicago. His group of fellow tennis instructors and students brought a lively energy to the reception. Picture this: a dance floor filled with guests tossing around tennis balls, creating a lively and entertaining atmosphere that perfectly complemented Allie and Joe’s joyful wedding at The Bluffs at Connor Prairie.

The couple lucked out with the most perfect fall day. The sunlight filtering through the trees provided a dreamy ambiance to their ceremony and all of their portraits, creating an enchanting setting. The historic charm of the old home built by Ely Lilly for his clients that visited from Asia added an extra layer of beauty.
A Funny Twist to the Ceremony
No wedding is complete without a few unexpected moments, and Allie and Joe’s ceremony was no exception. In a humorous turn of events, the rings were forgotten in the getting ready space. Quick on his feet, the DJ dashed back to retrieve them, turning a potential hiccup into a memorable (and funny) part of their nuptials.
