From the Greek Orthodox church to the Conrad Hotel and the Indianapolis Artsgarden, this wedding day was swoon-worthy! Lyndsey and Alexander’s Indianapolis Artsgarden wedding was so classic, I’m convinced it will never go out of style. Despite top-notch venue choices for this gorgeous day, what stands out the most to me from this wedding was the kindness and joy from this couple and their families!
Lyndsey and Alexander’s engagement photos are amongst my favorite rainy and romantic photos.
You may remember from their blog post, Lyndsey and Alexander’s engagement session had a bit of rain! It eventually cleared up to become a perfect evening, but these two were so happy and beautiful, that the rain didn’t even put a damper on this session. After first meeting them, I knew my assistant and I were in for a treat to capture their wedding day, and I was right!
The day started at the elegant Conrad Hotel downtown!
When I showed up to the getting ready space at The Conrad Hotel, the bridal party and their families greeted me with all smiles! As we photographed Lyndsey’s details in her room, her and her mom spent some time just the two of them getting ready, which is such a special mother daughter moment on wedding days. Lyndsey’s first looks were packed with so much emotion – she had a first look for her bridesmaids, dad, and even her Papi (grandfather). All were so emotional and just so excited for this day to be here! Alexander and Lyndsey chose to not do a first look with each other, and it was so worth it.
My heart melted as I saw tears flow from Alex’s eyes watching Lyndsey, his bride, walk down the aisle!
The ceremony at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral started with Alex, the groom tearing up, which made the whole room smile. Even though the ceremony was full of Orthodox traditions, Lyndsey and Alex were all smiles. After the ceremony, Lyndsey and Alex shed so many happy tears as they hugged their family and friends. We then headed back to The Conrad Hotel and Artsgarden for their reception and of course, sunset photos!
Family was the center of their Indianapolis Artsgarden Wedding!
At the wedding reception, Lyndsey made sure to add a dance with her Papi to the traditional dance rotation. It was so obvious the love Lyndsey and Alex had for each other, and for their families! The Insani and Pavlakis families were so darn welcoming and kind. So much so that my assistant and I couldn’t stop commenting about just how sweet everyone was! The love and excitement was infectious!
Congrats Lyndsey and Alex on your Indianapolis Artsgarden Wedding!
The venues Lyndsey and Alex chose were picture-perfect for their wedding! From the classic interior and exterior of the Conrad, to the gorgeous traditional Greek Orthodox church, and the stunning Artsgarden reception, these photos will never age. We loved everything about this classic wedding day, and as always love being welcomed back by the amazing staff at The Indianapolis Artsgarden and Conrad Events! The attention to detail and service from everyone at The Conrad is unlike any other, and we were so honored to have been a part of it.
Thank you to all the vendors that made their day so special!
