Nicole and Craig are married! Their Downtown Indianapolis wedding was our first at the new Indianapolis venue, The Heirloom, and we are obsessed! The Kaitlin Mendoza Photography associate team members Vanessa and Abbie did a flawless job capturing this industrial chic wedding.
Nicole and Craig planned their Downtown Indianapolis wedding in just six months – and looking at these photos, you would never guess!
You may remember this adorable couple from their Canal Walk Engagement Session in February of this year! Nicole and Craig pulled off a stunning wedding in only six months – we are so glad our associate team had the availability to capture their special day. Nicole and Craig were so calm, cool, and collected on their big day, and our team had so much fun with them and their big bridal party!
From the moment the reception started, the entire room had a blast!
Nicole and Craig’s bridal party entrance was some of the most memorable we have seen – and the guests just roared when Nicole and Craig walked in. We loved how they laid out their speeches – each with two people talking together! This made the speeches so memorable, funny, personal, and oh so sweet. Nicole and Craig chose to have their father-daughter and mother-son dances before their first dance, which is a great tip. Not only do you save the best dance for last (sorry Mom and Dad!), but our team can find the best angles before the bride and groom’s first dance! Our associate team made sure to sweep Nicole and Craig away from the reception to get sunset pictures at the War Memorial, where they got engaged. The sunset was so perfect, and it was an intimate moment with just the bride and groom on their busy night. We love downtown Indianapolis weddings for this reason – so much flexibility to get a variety of photos on your special day!

The Heirloom is one of Indianapolis’s newest wedding venues – it boasts beautiful (and original) brick walls, wood floors, and exposed beams. We love that Nicole and Craig used a ton of blue and green in their decor, as it was the perfect mix of delicate and industrial. It was an awesome space to get ready in, and it was super cool inside on this hot day – quite the opposite of their cold engagement session! We can’t wait to capture more days at The Heirloom.
