I am ‘pawsitive’ that Brittany and Dustin’s Forest Park engagement photos turned out amazing? It wasn’t just because of their sweet smiles, how they easily make each other laugh, the beautiful fall foliage, or that Brittany and I attended the same church growing up, but also because they brought their sweet pup Minnie! I’m so excited to share their Forest Park engagement photos with you on the blog today!
Brittany and Dustin met in microeconomics class in college, but would have never guessed then that they would be getting married to each other!
They became friends quickly, and hung out together often for six years before they realized their relationship could easily be more! Their friends could tell that they belonged together, but it wasn’t until the fall of 2019 that they noticed themselves!
Dustin decided it was time to take their relationship to the next level!
On June 28th, 2021, it was an extremely hot day, in fact a heat advisory! But Dustin had a plan and wasn’t going to let the St. Louis heat and humidity ruin it! He took Brittany to one of their favorite spots to hike, Castlewood State Park! Coincidentally enough, Castlewood is actually right down the street from my own childhood home where I grew up! They hiked to one of their favorite spots before Dustin got down on one knee and asked if she would spend the rest of her life with him!
Their Forest Park engagement photos had a deeper meaning than just photos.
When we were planning their session, Brittany told me she wanted to have them taken at the Jewel Box where her grandmother got married! If you’ve never been to Forest Park in St. Louis, the Jewel Box is a glass building that was built during the 1904 World’s Fair. It’s a beauty! We moved around to different locations within Forest Park including the Muny, in front of the St. Louis Art Museum where we found the most vibrant fall foliage, and then ended the session in a park area below art hill! Although their girl Minnie was a little skittish of all the people around, she was a trooper through the whole thing!
