After the New Year, Natasha emailed me to ask if it would be possible to try and do her and JC’s engagement session in the snow! Kaitlin Mendoza Photography associate, Allison, was so kind and agreed to be on “standby” the next time it snowed! Fast forward a few weeks, we got a huge snow storm at the beginning of February and planned to get Natasha’s snowy engagement session done that weekend once the roads were clear! Not only am I so glad it worked out, but the images that Allison captured of the two of them are just so darn cute!
Natasha and JC met through modern dating on Hinge!
Fast forward a few years later, JC decided he was ready to propose so the first thing he did was secretly flew to Michigan to ask Natasha’s mom for her blessing! When he was ready to propose, Natasha woke up to a note telling her that he had planned a girls day for Natasha and had picked out a dress for her.
When her sister and niece came over to begin the day, Natasha was surprised to find her mom with them also, whom JC had flown down from Michigan to be there! JC left notes along different locations of their girls day- first at breakfast, then nails, then coffee, then at Newfields! When they walked through the beautiful gardens at Newfields, more of her nieces and nephews ran up to her all dressed up! They all had notes to give her that spelled out, “you have that look in your eye”, which is how JC told Natasha that he loved her. Her nieces and nephews then led her to JC who was already down on one knee! The next day, JC took Natasha on vacation for a week in Colorado!
Natasha and JC chose to have their snowy engagement photos in Indianapolis at Arbuckle Acres Park in Brownsburg.
Not only was this location close by to limit the amount of driving in the snow for everyone, but they also knew Arbuckle Acres Park had tall pine trees to add to the winter theme they really wanted! KMP associate, Allison, did an amazing job capturing Natasha and JC’s love that is fun, goofy yet oh so romantic! From the snow fights, piggy back rides and lots of kissing, these two just radiate joy!!!

Natasha and JC will celebrate their wedding on November 12th at The Mill Top! I know you both are looking forward to the first time you lock eyes, before Natasha walks down the aisle, and I just can’t wait for our lovely KMP associate team to capture it all!
