Baptism Photos at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Carmel, Indiana

Celebrations

Some families you photograph once… and then there are the families who become part of the story of your business. The Guirados family is one of those families for me. To know them is to love them, and I’ve truly lost count of how many times I’ve had the joy of photographing their milestones. From family photos before welcoming baby number two to documenting moments along the way as the boys have grown, it’s the greatest compliment when families continue coming back year after year. When Maria reached out about capturing baptism photos at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Carmel, Indiana I was thrilled.

Being invited to document such a meaningful and sacred day for a family is always incredibly special.

Baptisms are filled with quiet, emotional moments- parents holding their baby close, godparents standing proudly nearby, and loved ones gathered together to witness an important step in a child’s life. One of my favorite details from these baptism photos at Our Lady of Mount Carmel was the baptism shell that mom brought with her. This wasn’t just any shell- it was a treasured family heirloom that had been used in baptisms before. Seeing it used again for their son made the moment feel even more meaningful, like a beautiful connection between generations. These are the kinds of small but powerful details that make documenting baptism days so special.

After the baptism at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, they hosted their closest friends and family to continue the celebration at their home in Carmel, Indiana.

It was such a warm and welcoming gathering, filled with laughter, hugs, and the joy of being together to celebrate their sweet boy. Maria also created a beautiful portrait backdrop in their home, where we took a few portraits of their son in his baptism outfit. These quiet moments are always some of my favorites to capture—tiny details, sweet expressions, and the calm after such a meaningful day surrounded by loved ones.

The baptism day was made even more special with the help of some wonderful and extremely talented local vendors.

The beautiful cake was created by Meringue Artisan Cake, the delicious food was provided by Sullivan’s Steakhouse and Dulce Saladito, and the tables and rentals were provided by Garcia Party Rental. Days like this are why I love being a Carmel, Indiana baptism photographer. It’s about more than just taking photos—it’s about preserving the memories that families will cherish for years to come. Being welcomed back to document another milestone for the Guirados family truly means the world to me. If you are looking to capture these once-in-a-lifetime moments with care and intention, I’d love to connect and hear about your plans.

Guirados family, thank you for continuing to trust me with your memories, especially this baptism at Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Carmel, Indiana. It’s always such a joy to document these beautiful moments for your family.
