Haley and Dalen are married! We had so much joy getting to be a part of this New Journey Farms wedding in Lafayette, Indiana! Kaitlin Mendoza Photography associates Vanessa and Mollie had so much fun with this athletic bride and groom (and their wedding party), and we are so happy to show off their wedding photos on the blog!

Haley and Dalen are both volleyball players, so they planned their wedding far in advance to ensure their schedules aligned!

My favorite fact about Haley and Dalen is that their wedding planning actually started before their proposal, because Dalen’s travel schedule is quite complex with volleyball! Haley, all of the planning paid off, because your day was gorgeous! We loved that we could feel the bond between teammates on this wedding day – there were wedding party members who were also teammates (and so tall!). Each wedding party member was so fun, down for any photo, and most of all, so kind! Throughout the entire day, we could feel how much love everyone had for the couple, and how genuinely sweet this bride and groom are.

Haley and Dalen have already lived out the promises of their wedding vows, even before they were officially married!

Haley overcame a health scare just a few weeks before the wedding, and the officiant made a touching point that they had already put into practice their “in sickness and in health” wedding vows. Haley’s dad (in his speech) said that he admired and loved how devoted Dalen was during her hospitalization. Haley looked absolutely stunning and did not let this get in her way! Her sense of humor was obvious all day long – and we couldn’t get enough. For their first look, Haley actually sent out Dalen’s best man in a white dress as a joke! She also hid a Smirnoff ice under her dress during the garter toss to “ice” him, and we loved to see their playful side come out through the day. We love photos that show off couples personalities, and you can definitely see many of these photos below!

Haley and Dalen’s New Journey Farms wedding was the first time we photographed this gorgeous venue!

New Journey Farms is a stunning venue that offers a clean slate to really make it your own! The property boasts lots of outdoor green space, which is so much appreciated for group photos. The getting ready rooms were well lit, white and bright, and offered so much room for bridal parties. We are so glad we finally got to make our way to Lafayette and see this wedding venue, and hope to be back for another wedding there soon !
