This naturally gorgeous couple have officially tied the knot! Maddie and Austin feel like friends of KMP at this point, so getting to know their family and friends was so special. These two even helped model for the KMP team earlier this summer! Maddie and Austin’s wedding at The Sixpence in Whitestown, Indiana was unforgettable. From a traditional first look to impeccable design and style, to touching tributes to the groom’s father throughout the night, this wedding was absolutely perfect!
Maddie’s first look with her bridesmaids was the beginning of many tears shed on this wedding day!
I had so much fun capturing Maddie and her bridesmaids – they truly made the day so much fun! We hung out in The Sixpence’s bridal suite, which was a photographer’s dream! The floor to cieling windows let in so much natural light, and it was truly the perfect getting ready spot. Maddie kept her dress a secret during this whole process- so much so, even her closest friends had not seen it yet! It made the day even sweeter, to have a reveal to look forward to earlier in the day! Because Maddie’s dress was long, she actually wore her Birkenstocks because she’s just that simple gorgeous gal who wanted to be comfortable, and we just love that about her. That wasn’t the only surprise she had in store – she rocked a flirty shorter cocktail dress for the reception, and the girls surprised the group with a choreographed dance to Let’s Do It Tonight by Pitbull that they had made up just the night before! This group was just so sweet, and I loved spending the day with them.
Maddie and Austin opted for a traditional first look – at the altar!
This day was full of surprises, one being that Maddie and Austin didn’t have a first look early in the day. Austin’s reaction to seeing his bride for the first time was so sweet and pure! Sometimes in wedding planning, couples get so busy caught up in all of the details and figuring out so many logistics, it’s fun to look forward to the first look- whether it’s before the ceremony or during! Their ceremony had a perfect lush background, and their live string quartet was the icing on the cake!
The wedding day was full of touching tributes to Austin’s late father.
The entire day felt so bittersweet, because Austin’s dad had passed away suddenly late last year, and not having him there was felt by Austin, his mom, and so many of the guests. Maddie and Austin did a beautiful job of including him during the day in so many ways. Austin’s mom painted a beautiful picture of him during her speech, sharing how proud he was of the couple, and how much he cherished getting to know Maddie over dinner when he traveled to Indianapolis for work. His presence was surely felt! Austin’s ring was even his dad’s wedding ring. As if this didn’t make me cry already, they shared that when the jeweler heard this story about the ring, they repaired it at no cost! Austin and his mom also did their mother-son dance to his dad’s most played song on Spotify, an old country song. The whole room started clapping to the beat as their tears turned into smiles and laughs. It was the most beautiful tribute to Austin’s dad!
Maddie and Austin’s Wedding at The Sixpence in Whitestown, Indiana was styled so beautifully.
The Sixpence is such a great venue for couples who want a clean slate, and want to make the venue their own. I loved the design choices Maddie chose – the details were absolutely stunning! The florals from Wedding Florals by Patty left me speechless – I especially loved the blue thistles that were a staple in my own wedding! Their wedding day coordinator Seveana Fowler was incredible to work with as she made the day run seamlessly! This wedding reminded me how much of a difference wedding coordinators make – which is why I highly recommend every couple consider this option to make their day stress-free and cohesive!
Congrats Maddie and Austin – you did it! I’m so excited for what God has in store for your marriage.
I am so thankful that I got to be a part of your wedding at The Sixpence, and their exciting engagement season! You two are so beautiful inside and out, and this is just the beginning.
