I think we can all agree that 2020 has been a strange year, but on October 15th, 2021 the world felt as it should during Kristin and Alan’s Nashville, Indiana wedding. Friends and family gathered in one of their favorite places in Indiana, toasts were made, tears of happiness were shed and Kristin and Alan became husband and wife! Their boho themed wedding day fit their personalities so perfectly, was full of joy and I’m so excited to share their wedding at Abe Martin Lodge in Brown County State Park on the blog!
Kristin and Alan’s love was truly meant to be!
Four years before their wedding day, they both went to concerts with friends at Gorge Amphitheater in Washington where they both lived at the time. As they were both dancing the night away and making memories at the Dave Matthews Concert, they bumped into each other and started talking. They started hiking, cooking and camping together every chance they had! They even took a backpacking trip in Glacier National Park which they say was just an amazing experience! However, shortly after they began dating, Kristin was diagnosed with breast cancer. Through the whole nightmare, Alan was there helping her recover from every treatment. Their love quickly grew into something more and after Kristin beat cancer’s butt, Alan proposed at the very exact concert where they met! Their friends took pictures of the moment and held up a sign with the gorge as a beautiful backdrop!
Since then, Kristin and Alan both moved to Indiana for Kristin to attend school for her masters in social work.
They venture to Brown County State Park often to camp and hike on the weekends, so when they were looking for the perfect place to get married, it just felt right! And perfect it was! Their Nashville, Indiana wedding was filled with their closest family and friends at Abe Martin Lodge in Brown County State Park! From their personal vows that had every guest in tears, to speeches from Kristin’s father, friend and sister, it was a joyous day! Rain was threatening the whole day, however, not a single raindrop fell every, allowing us to take all of their portraits outside! We found the most epic backdrop of the fall foliage that made for gorgeous bride and groom and bridal party photos! All in all, it was an incredible celebration, and I think it’s safe to say that Kristin and Alan’s guests loved every minute!
