Nothing makes my heart happier than getting to photograph couples during different seasons in their lives after their wedding day. I love, love, LOVE these two, and was so honored when they reached out to book their anniversary photos in Indianapolis, Indiana to celebrate their one year wedding anniversary! These two had the most perfect fall wedding day at Indiana Landmarks, and like their big day, we hit the jackpot with fall colors for this session as well!
This was my very first time at 100 Acre Woods, and immediately I knew it wouldn’t be my last!
Stacy and Damon introduced me to Indiana Landmarks, where Stacy volunteers, and they did it again and introduced another hit location – 100 Acre Woods! The fall foliage was just as stunning as their wedding day, which made sense, because it was almost exactly a year after their wedding day. A big tip for couples wanting fall leaves – typically the last week of October and early November have the most vibrant fall leaves! I couldn’t believe that I had not been to 100 Acre Woods before. It wasn’t too busy, had tree covered gravel trails, a little lake and beach, a great view of Newfield’s Lilly house, and an open area with tall grass. It was great to have so much variety!

Stacy and Damon are so sweet and sentimental, so I was not even surprised when they both wore accessories I had remembered from their wedding day. Stacy wore the beautiful pearl necklace I remember capturing in their detail photos that Damon gifted her, and Damon wore the watch that Stacy had gifted him. I love when couples can think of ways to make sessions more personal to them, and I could not get over how cute it was to incorporate these items once again.
We had to finish Stacy and Damon’s fall anniversary photos with popping champagne! Cheers to your first year!
I am so honored to call Stacy and Damon friends, and I just can’t believe they’ve already been married for a year!
