It was such a treat to have Marie and Wil’s Crowne Plaza Union Station wedding in Indianapolis, Indiana as one of our last weddings of the year! This day was timeless, and these two are as classy as can be. From the ceremony at the SS. Peter & Paul Cathedral to the reception at Grand Hall at Union Station these venues could not have been any more gorgeous. We cannot get enough of these historic venues and this loving couple, and are so excited to share their day on the blog!
Marie and Wil’s wedding day details both large and small made this day unforgettable!
This couple put thought and love into every single detail of their day, and it was so worth it! Marie’s veil was custom made out of lace from her mother’s wedding dress, and it turned out so beautifully. Even their gifts were thoughtful – Wil gave Marie a record that had their wedding song, and Marie gifted Wil a watch! Wil booked a limo for the girls to get from Grand Hall to the church – despite it being only a short drive away. This was so sweet of him – truly only the best for his bride!
We headed to the SS. Peter & Paul Cathedral Parish, where Marie and Wil made it official!
The church was breathtaking, and made for a gorgeous traditional Catholic ceremony. Catholic churches are so rich in history and detail, but sometimes there are restrictions for photographers. Luckily we came prepared with equipment that allowed us to zoom in and get crisp images, all without having a flash! After the ceremony and snapping some great photos in the church, we headed to the War Memorial to get photos in our favorite spot – under the giant columns! The day was pretty windy, and Marie’s gorgeous cathedral length veil was constantly getting carried by the wind. Marie and Wil’s wedding party had incredible patience as we waited for the wind to die down!

As if this day could get any better, cocktail hour and the reception was at the Crowne Plaza Union Station wedding in Indianapolis, Indiana. This was our first time shooting a wedding at this venue, believe it or not! We were so impressed with this grand space complete with timeless details and gorgeous lighting. Before we knew it, the evening was ending! The icing on the cake to their Crowne Plaza Union Station wedding was their exit. They rented a classic car, and guest waved sprinklers to wish the couple well before they left for their honeymoon in Mexico!
Marie and Wil’s love and style are timeless – they are as classy as can be!
Their wedding at Crowne Plaza Union Station Wedding in Indianapolis, Indiana was surely one to remember, and we are so excited that they are finally husband and wife. We wish them nothing but the best and hope to have them back in front of our camera to document future seasons of life!
