This sweet family of three came from Lafayette to Carmel for their Cool Creek Park family session! Capturing this family session for The Skees was so special for me because Emma is actually our virtual assistant here at KMP! She helps with designing our albums for clients, as well as helps keep me organized with everything else!
Their one year old daughter Zara wore a darling pink dress and did a great job in front of my camera. We let her run the show so that she wouldn’t get too fussy, which is always the best plan with babies and toddlers! We had so much fun for this family’s Cool Creek Park family photos, and I’m so happy to spotlight this family on the blog today!

Although Emma and I have been working so closely together since March, this was actually the first time meeting her and her family in person! We have shared so many Zoom calls, phone calls, and emails, but it was so fun to finally meet her in person! Emma is such a hard worker and helps us serve our couples and families so well- we truly could not do it without her! It was great to spend some time with her and her family capturing memories that will last forever!
Their one year old, Zara, was the star of the show during their Cool Creek Park family session!
Zara is absolutely adorable, and like many one year olds, was full of energy! We hung out around the park and let her lead the way so we could capture her smiling and naturally entertained! Emma brought plenty of snacks to entice her, and I was so impressed with how well little Zara did! We even got to capture mom and dad swinging her around, and even throwing her in the air to get a few baby giggles! I love that we got to capture Zara at this age that seems to fly by in an instant!
Cool Creek Park is a great choice for family sessions!
Cool Creek Park is a great spot for family photos in Carmel, Indiana! The trees are so full and lush, and there’s no shortage of options for wooded areas. We snapped pictures on the stairs, paths, and on the bridge by the creek! We even walked through their beautiful wildflower garden that looks amazing at sunset! Wedding season may be winding down for us here at KMP for the year, but we are so excited to capture more families like The Skees Family!
