After talking to Stacy and Damon during our consultation call a few months prior, I could tell that they were really nice people. However, after spending time with them during their engagement session, I can tell you they are officially some of the nicest people I’ve ever met! I also found out that they are both avid runners like me, so I think we’ll basically be friends forever!
Their love story:
Stacy and Damon met while both playing on the same kickball team, and have been together ever since! During their first date, Damon took Stacy to monument circle, where they sat and talked for hours getting to know each other. Stacy and Damon dated for a little over a year, and even quarantined together at Stacy’s apartment in downtown Indianapolis, working from home, frequently walking and running along the canal and trying new take out places. When Damon proposed, he recreated their first date and dropped down to one knee at the same spot where they had first talked for hours on their first date. Does it get much sweeter than that?
I had so much fun capturing Stacy and Damon for their engagement photos at Newfields and The Canal!
After viewing our style guide, they opted for one semi casual outfit where Stacy wore a sundress and Damon wore shorts and a polo for their Newfields engagement photos. For their second outfit at The Canal, Stacy wore a beautiful royal blue dress while Damon dressed in a dress shirt and pants! It was the perfect combination to fit their personalities and give some variety to their full engagement photo gallery. The sun really showed up during the last portion of their session at The Canal, and it was so magical finishing their last few images under the glow of the romantic string lights too!
Congratulations Stacy & Damon!
I feel so lucky you chose me to be your engagement and wedding photographer, and their engagement photos at Newfields and The Canal is easily one of my favorite sessions to date! If these images are a sneak peak into the magic we’re going to create on your October 2022 wedding at Indiana Landmarks, then it’s going to be an amazing day!
