Erin and Daniel had a vision of chic Indianapolis engagement photos and I absolutely love how they turned out. It’s so refreshing when couples use their engagement photos to show off their style. I am so excited to add more urban images to the Kaitlin Mendoza Photography portfolio – thank you, Erin and Dan for this great idea!
Long distance from Iowa to Indiana.
Dan and Erin met through one of Dan’s cousins, Sean, when they were in college. Dan is from Iowa and every minute of their long distance relationship was worth it – because they are now so happily engaged! Dan proposed to Erin in December at the end of a scavenger hunt with his family and Erin’s sister. I love how sweet and unique this proposal was and it’s the perfect representation of them as a couple – oh so thoughtful and fun!
Erin and Dan’s Indianapolis engagement photos were so “them”.
Erin and Dan’s style is so effortless and infectious – from the engagement shoot location to their wardrobe choices. It was refreshing to have a new spot for Indianapolis engagement photos, and the rooftop of this parking garage on Virginia Avenue is such a gem boasting gorgeous skyline views of Downtown Indianapolis! I was so determined to find a parking garage downtown that was perfect – and despite getting lost trying to find it, it was exactly that: perfect! The lighting of golden hour was on our side, and I love how these Indianapolis engagement photos came out!
Erin and Dan started off in vintage t-shirts and each Abercrombie outfit was a reflection of their laid-back and effortlessly cool style. I am so proud of Erin and Dan for stepping out of their comfort zone in front of the camera, and I even stepped out of my comfort zone with a new location! The way that Dan made Erin laugh was infectious and they’re absolutely adorable together.
So many reasons to pop the champagne!
We had so much fun popping a bottle of champagne – I knew we had to do this at their Indianapolis engagement photos after hearing they haven’t done it before! The champagne spray, golden hour lighting, and parking garage views curated the perfect images. We celebrated their engagement, end of long distance, upcoming October wedding, and the near end of Erin’s school year together. It was the perfect evening, and I can’t wait for their Ritz Charles wedding this October!
