A classic car, a historic mansion, and dressing up to the nines? What a way to celebrate your ten year wedding anniversary! I’m so excited to share Angela and Shane’s anniversary photos with a classic car in Indianapolis and The Seiberling Mansion in Kokomo on the blog!
Angela and Shane met while collaborating on the same project at work!
Angela was a logistics engineer, while Shane was their IT/DBA for the project. After spending more time together, their relationship quickly flourished. They spent a lot of time hiking, kayaking and traveling, and a few years later they got married! They were best friends first, which is why they tell me their marriage is as strong as it is today!
At the time, they kept it small and decided to forgo wedding photos, which Angela tells me she really regrets! That’s why when they celebrated their ten year wedding anniversary last year, she decided she wanted to celebrate big with an elegant anniversary session just the two of them! Unfortunately COVID derailed those plans initially, but they still celebrated by going to Mackinac Island in Michigan! A year later they pursued their dream anniversary photos with a classic car in Indianapolis, and The Seiberling Mansion in Kokomo, Indiana which they love! Angela told me she was especially excited to finally be able to hang professional portraits of the two of them on the walls!
Angela and Shane’s anniversary session was so classic and elegant!
Our plans were to initially park their classic car in front of Monument Circle, however, there was a large parade happening that day throughout the downtown area, unbeknownst to us! We decided to head north to Holcomb Gardens which ended up being a great back up plan that was much less crowded!
The classic car was rented from Antique Limousine of Indianapolis and it was the perfect “prop” to add to their session! I love when couples rent classic cars for their session or wedding, because it elevates images even more to create images that are that much more classic and timeless! Angela’s red dress paired with her red lipstick was the perfect pop of color to add even more elegance and spice! I could tell that these two simply enjoyed getting dressed up together and making some magic in front of my camera!
