Meant to be. That is the first thing that comes to mind when I think of Lauren and Aaron and how I got so lucky to be their wedding photographer! It blows me away how much we have in common and I just know it was fate that Lauren found me to be their Carmel wedding photographer!
How Lauren and Aaron Met:
Lauren and Aaron both attended school at Virginia Commonwealth University where they likely crossed paths but never actually met. Lauren was working at a Physical Therapist and Aaron a strength and conditioning coach that Lauren’s boss hired. Lauren avoided Aaron for a while, because she didn’t want to date a coworker, but eventually her gut told her that she should give it a chance! Sooner after they started dating, and initially tried to keep their relationship low key, but her coworkers quickly noticed the looks Aaron was giving Lauren from across the room while they were at work and the secret was out!
How Aaron Proposed:
After they had been talking about marriage for a few months, Aaron ordered a ring online for Lauren. The day it came in the mail, Aaron quickly got the ring out of the box and ran up to Lauren asking her if he’d marry her! At first, Lauren wasn’t sure if he was being serious, but she quickly realized this wasn’t a joke and yelled “YES!”.
Lauren and Aaron were wondering if they were going to even have an engagement session since they didn’t hire a Charleston engagement photographer.
Because Lauren and Aaron live in upstate South Carolina, they weren’t sure they would be able to travel to Carmel before their wedding week because of their busy work schedules. But when I told them I was coming to Charleston to photograph a wedding in April and that I could fit them into my schedule for an engagement session, they were overjoyed! It couldn’t have worked out more perfectly. Since we used to be a Charleston engagement photographer, it was incredibly fun to photograph in some of the same iconic locations that I used to photograph at all the time!
