Welcoming a newborn home is always a magical experience, and capturing those first moments is something I cherish deeply. Baby Tia’s newborn session was one of my absolute favorites, and I’m so excited to share more about this beautiful in-home lifestyle session.
Newborn photography in Indianapolis, IN wasn’t the first session that I’ve had with this sweet family.
I first met Kassie when I photographed her stunning ‘Bonjour Bébé’ themed baby shower, designed by Rachel Block Events in September at her parents’ home. It was an elegant and heartfelt celebration, setting the tone for the love and joy that would surround baby Tia’s arrival. Just a few short months later, I had the privilege of capturing the sweetest moments of this family’s new chapter as they welcomed their baby girl home.
Named after Kassie’s beloved aunt, Tia was born with a full head of hair.
If you have been around here for a little while, you know a baby with a head full of hair is something I absolutely adore! She looked like a real-life doll, and I loved photographing her as her parents gazed at her with so much love and admiration. Born just before Thanksgiving, she was my last newborn session of 2024 before welcoming my own third baby in December. There’s something so special about having a newborn at home during the holidays—those quiet, cozy snuggles are pure magic.
Kassie’s impeccable taste carried over from her baby shower to Tia’s nursery.
She beautifully blended modern Pottery Barn design with vintage art and antique decor sourced from local Indianapolis shops, creating a timeless and inviting space. This neutral, thoughtfully designed nursery was the perfect backdrop for our newborn photography session in Indianapolis. To complement the setting, Kassie wore a cozy yet elevated neutral sweater set, coordinating effortlessly with the aesthetic of their home. By planning their outfits to match the space, we ensured that the photos had a perfectly curated and cohesive look—one that will stand the test of time.
This session was truly one for the books and may just be my favorite newborn session of the year!
