One of my greatest joys as a maternity photographer in Indianapolis, Indiana is documenting the beautiful transition into parenthood — especially for first-time moms and dads. Taylor and her husband’s outdoor maternity session at 100 Acres Art & Nature Park was the perfect celebration of this season of anticipation, wonder, and quiet before life changes forever.
There’s something especially meaningful about these sessions.
It’s often the last photo shoot a couple will have of just the two of them before they become parents. That sense of closeness and excitement was so present during Taylor and her husband’s session — from their laughter to the way they looked at each other and her growing bump.
Taylor chose two different outfits to give her gallery variety and personality.
She started with a fresh, casual look for spring: buttery yellow jeans and a breezy open button-down that felt relaxed and perfectly her. Later, she changed into a soft white dress from my client closet — a timeless and effortless look that photographs beautifully in natural light.
Early spring in Indiana can be unpredictable as a maternity photographer in Indianapolis, Indiana,, but we embraced the challenge.
100 Acre Woods gave us subtle pops of green just beginning to return, and we made the most of the textures, light, and budding new life all around — a fitting metaphor for the season they’re in.
These images aren’t just maternity photos — they’re the beginning of this couple’s family story. I know that in the months and years to come, they’ll look back on this session and remember what it felt like to be on the cusp of parenthood, full of love, hope, and dreams for the baby they’re about to meet.
If you’re looking for a maternity photographer in Indianapolis, Indiana, I’d be honored to help you document this once-in-a-lifetime season.
