Almost a year ago, Sarah and Jon had the most gorgeous fall Holcomb Gardens Engagement Session! I was so excited to finally celebrate their big day last month! This Laurel Hall wedding was truly one to remember, and I’m so excited to be able to share the day with you on the blog!
A moment for the venue, Laurel Hall!
Laurel Hall is a favorite engagement location for KMP couples – and we were so excited to shoot this wedding day at Laurel Hall! Every event for this day was onsite at Laurel Hall, and that is my absolute favorite for so many reasons- the day goes so much smoother and couples end up getting so many more images without having to waste time traveling between locations! The getting ready space is a huge classic bedroom with lots of natural light- which is always a photographer’s favorite. It was so perfect for getting ready photos! Sarah and Jon had their first look in the Solarium, which is my favorite room in the whole house. They had a private vow reading that brought both of them to tears and washed away some of the nerves before they read them at the ceremony in front of their guests. It was truly such a special moment! We can’t get enough of their Laurel Hall wedding!
From the florals to the favors, Sarah did such an incredible job planning out each detail of her Laurel Hall wedding!
She even made all of her invitations herself – and they were gorgeous and when I received mine in the mail I couldn’t believe she had made them herself! Her flowers were chosen with thought and with love – Sarah’s sister in law’s mother is the owner of Big Rock Blooms, and it was such a thoughtful choice to have her design the florals! Her bridal bouquet had dahlias, which are not only gorgeous, but Dahlia is also Sarah’s middle name! Sarah and Jon’s guestbook was one I had not seen before – they provided postcards for their guests to fill out, and a cute little mailbox to put them in! This day had so many picture-perfect photo opportunities – especially the mini champagne tower and faux sparkler exit before we left for the evening! The icing on the cake was their party favor bags – complete with their favorite red wine, beer, and snacks. They even dropped a sweet note in mine, which truly brought tears to my eyes that they included me! Sarah did such a fantastic job designing her dream Laurel Hall wedding.
Sarah and Jon’s reception was one to remember!
The Bluewater Kings Band did a great job of getting the crowd excited to dance. Sarah and Jon’s dancing lessons paid off, and they rocked their first dance! Jon and his mom even had some smooth moves up their sleeves. Instead of the traditional father-daughter dance, Sarah and her dad did a piano duet! It was so refreshing, and SO much fun to watch, and I just know they will remember this forever! The band kept the guests of this Laurel Hall wedding entertained all night long.
I’m so grateful to have thoughtful and kind couples like Sarah and Jon. You two are truly a light and I’m so thankful you asked me to capture your wedding! I look forward to seeing your marriage grow and having you in front of my camera again for future life milestones!
Thank you to all the vendors that made their day so special!
