Madeline and Colton are engaged! Our associate team is so excited to capture their wedding day next year, and I got the pleasure of shooting their Holliday Park engagement session in Indianapolis, Indiana! It was so much fun to meet not one, but two of our associate team couples in the same week when I stepped in for their photographer when she had a family emergency. Madeline and Colton chose Holliday Park for their engagement session, and the leaves were so vibrant! We can’t wait to share this perfect Fall engagement session with you today on the blog!
Madeline and Colton’s first date lasted 12 hours long!
Each KMP couple fills out a questionnaire so our team can get to know them better. It’s always so much fun to read more about them before getting to meet them! In Madeline and Colton’s questionnaire, Madeline gave me all the details about their first date, which lasted from 9 AM to 9 PM! Colton had planned the most perfect day – first the Indianapolis Zoo, then a movie, and then they ended with dinner at Madeline’s parents house. Meeting the parents on the first date? There must have been sparks flying before this epic first date!
6 years later, Colton proposed at the Indianapolis Zoo!
Of course their first date was memorable, not just because it was 12 hours, but because they felt the sparks instantly! 6 years later, Colton brought Madeline back to the same spot at the zoo, and even wore the same outfit as he did on their first date! He got down on one knee right in front of the elephants, and of course Madeline said yes. They describe themselves as best friends, and in just the little time I spent with them, I can tell that is absolutely true! They were so comfortable during their Holliday Park engagement session in Indianapolis, and Colton eased all of Madeline’s nerves. They constantly made each other laugh, which was so great to capture!

I was so glad to arrive at Holliday Park to see that the leaves were absolutely perfect, and we really leaned into the Fall colors during their session. Madeline had the most adorable hat, and even brought some champagne to pop at the end of their session! We had a blast, and we can’t wait for their wedding at Pipers at the Marott next year!
