I am convinced that there is no better engagement photo location than on a college campus during fall! Allie went to school at Butler University, and this gorgeous campus truly made for a very romantic and cozy backdrop for her and Joe’s engagement photos. We lucked out with colorful fall leaves, overcast weather, and a slight wind advisory that ended up being in our favor! We also walked nearby to another one of our favorite locations, Holcomb Gardens in Indianapolis, Indiana, and I am obsessed with how this gallery turned out!
Allie and Joe met online in the early days of COVID-19, and created a deep foundation early on!
When I read about how Allie and Joe met during COVID, I loved how they said they were grateful for meeting during this time, because it allowed them to develop a deep foundation quickly. Joe ended up proposing to Allie on a trip to Washington D.C. behind the Lincoln Memorial, right by the Potomac River! After the peak of COVID, Joe headed back to the office for his job outside of Chicago, and they can’t wait to tie the knot, finish the long distance part of their relationship, and begin the rest of their life together, married! Being around Allie and Joe was easy – I can just tell they adore each other!
I love when couples choose an engagement session location that is meaningful to them! This was my first time taking engagement photos at Butler University in Indianapolis!
Allie attended Butler University, and it was so nostalgic to be back on a college campus, and take photos of her and her fiance in some of her favorite spots on campus. It sure helps when your alma mater is as gorgeous as Butler is! Butler’s classic campus is easy to get around, and the warm wood accents inside and stone on the outside truly made for such romantic images.
We took engagement photos at Holcomb Gardens in Indianapolis, Indiana before we headed to Butler! It was great to knock out all of the important shots on my list in a location I am familiar with, especially in a place like Holcomb Gardens, which is a fan-favorite among our couples (especially in the fall!). Having both locations just a short walk from each other was ideal so we could spend a majority of our time capturing photos!
I love how these engagement photos at Holcomb Gardens and Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana turned out, and I can’t wait for their September 2023 wedding!
Allie and Joe are getting married at The Bluffs at Conner Prairie, and I can’t wait to see how their gallery will be complete with fall wedding photos as well as their engagement photos. Allie and Joe, we are counting down the days until we celebrate with you!
