Newborn

Little makes me happier than photographing clients again and again, and Stacy and Damon are one of those special families. Over the years, I have had the privilege of documenting their love story, from their engagement to their wedding, their 1-year anniversary, and now, the most heartwarming chapter of all—welcoming home their first baby, Amelia as a Carmel newborn photographer. Our connection has grown so strong that our families have even shared delightful dinners at our favorite taco spot- Condado.

A Joyous Announcement

When I received that email from Stacy announcing their pregnancy, I couldn’t contain my excitement—I practically screamed! The thrill of being asked once more to capture this pivotal moment in their lives was beyond words. I knew that their journey into parenthood would be nothing short of magical, and I couldn’t wait to capture it now as their Carmel newborn photographer.

Amelia’s whimsical nursery was a nod to their love story

Walking into Amelia’s nursery was like stepping into a storybook. The Winnie the Pooh theme was so enchanting. Stacy’s attention to detail was evident in every corner, from the playful wall decals to the stuffed animals adorning the shelves. One particular treasure that caught my eye was a framed map featuring the Hundred Acre Woods, the very place where we had taken their anniversary photos here in Indianapolis. It was a beautiful nod to their enduring love story!

Amelia, the Sleeping Angel made my job as their Carmel newborn photographer a breeze!

During our newborn session, Amelia was an absolute angel. She slept serenely through the entire session, allowing me to capture her pure newborn innocence and the love that surrounded her by her parents who were just in awe of her. It was a true testament to the calm and loving environment that Stacy and Damon had created for their precious baby girl.

One of the most touching aspects of Amelia’s nursery decor was the inclusion of heirloom pieces.

Damon’s old baby shoes, carefully preserved, added a nostalgic touch to the room. Even more heartwarming was the sight of the rocking bassinet that had once cradled Stacy as a baby. As a Carmel newborn photographer, I love when families use heirlooms as decor in the nursery to serve as a bridge between generations.  It’s a great reminder of the enduring bonds of family and the circle of love that continues to grow.In the heart of Carmel, Indiana, amidst laughter, love, and the sweetest of moments, we celebrated the arrival of baby Amelia. As their Carmel newborn photographer, I felt truly honored to witness and capture the evolution of Stacy and Damon’s love story. With each click of my camera, I knew I was freezing time, creating memories that would be cherished as they look back on this sweet and ever so fleeting season of life.
