Baby Evie’s In-Home Session | Carmel, Indiana Newborn Photographer

One of the greatest joys of being a Carmel, Indiana newborn photographer is capturing those fleeting early days of a baby’s life in the place they’ll call home. Recently, I had the privilege of photographing baby Evie in the Villages of West Clay, and it was truly a dream session.

Evie was an absolute angel!

She made my job so easy by sleeping peacefully the entire time. She came into the world with a full head of hair, and I couldn’t get enough of capturing those tiny details—her delicate eyelashes, perfect little fingers, and the way she fit so snugly in her parents’ arms.

First-time parents are always a joy to photograph as a Carmel, Indiana newborn photographer, and this sweet family was no exception. 

Their love for baby Evie was so evident in every tender moment, from soft kisses on her forehead to the way they marveled at her tiny features. These sessions aren’t just about documenting a new baby, but also about capturing the love, connection, and the beautiful journey of parenthood.

One of my favorite moments from this session was including their fur baby in a few photos outside their home. Capturing the entire family together in front of the house where they brought Evie home felt incredibly special. I can just picture these images in a family album, a timeless keepsake to remind them of their first home and these sweet early days with their daughter.

Mom looked stunning in a dress from my client closet, a fan favorite among my clients. 

I always have clients send me photos of their nursery beforehand, so we can plan and coordinate outfits around that. We also incorporated a sentimental touch—rocking baby Evie in the same nursery rocker that her mom was rocked in as a baby. These heirloom pieces add such depth to newborn sessions, making the images even more meaningful for generations to come.
