If you’ve been following along for a little while, you already know Lauren and Aaron from their dreamy engagement session in Charleston, South Carolina! I truly feel that it was fate that led me to be their wedding photographer to capture their special day. I’m just so grateful to have met them!
Lauren and Aaron have had a lot of transitions in their relationship that led them to their backyard wedding in Carmel, Indiana
The first year that they were dating, they were very carefree and just loved doing new things together: restaurants, hiking, traveling etc. However the next few years, Aaron moved around with his job as a football strength and conditioning coach causing them to endure a long distance relationship. This was stressful on both of them, but eventually they found their way back to each other in Clemson, South Carolina where Aaron is now a high school strength and conditioning coach for a team that has won several state championships, and Lauren as an outpatient Physical Therapist. Now that they live in the same city, they love doing active things together, like hiking and working out together!
Soon after they got engaged, Lauren and Aaron knew they wanted a backyard wedding in Carmel, Indiana with a laid back vibe
They knew they wanted to keep it really small, with only their immediate family and their closest friends and family, so they decided on having a backyard wedding in Carmel, Indiana at her parents’ home. Lauren’s parents’ beautiful white brick home was the perfect backdrop to their ceremony and reception, where they also rented a tent for dancing and dinner catered by City BBQ. Lauren got getting ready at her sister’s loft in downtown Indianapolis that had the most gorgeous natural light for her getting ready photos and details. For bride and groom portraits, we headed to Coxhall Gardens that was nearby her parents home. Even though it was the middle of the day and the sun was still really bright, we were able to capture gorgeous images of these two love birds! Their ceremony was officiated by Veronica Maximo in front of a ceremony arch that Lauren’s mother put together herself. Her family helped pull together EXACTLY what Lauren and Aaron were envisioning for their backyard wedding in Carmel, Indiana, and I couldn’t be happier for them!
