Jessica + Joshua | A Wedding at The Firefly Distillery in Charleston

I was so excited to head back down South this year to photograph yet another wedding! This time it was a wedding at the Firefly Distillery in Charleston with Jessica and Joshua, whom I hadn’t even had a chance to meet yet! With the the global pandemic causing them to postpone their original wedding date and their big move all the way across the country to the middle of Alaska for their military jobs, we just weren’t able to make it happen until the day of their wedding! Normally this would have made me nervous, but Jessica and Joshua were so laid back and sweet, that it was an easy transition!

A Kitchen Wedding during COVID quarantine

Even though a global pandemic caused them to postpone their original wedding date, these two love birds still wanted to get married. So they had a close friend get ordained online, and marry them right in the middle of their kitchen! They decided to postpone their wedding to April 23rd 2021, exactly one year after their intimate kitchen wedding. They got to party with all of their friends and family on their one year anniversary, so to say it was wild would be an understatement! They were both so grateful to have finally been able to celebrate their love story with their closest friends and family, most of whom they both hadn’t been able to see for months due to travel restrictions. Their wedding day was filled with so much love, it was definitely one for the books!
