It was so nice to finally meet Brooke and Kyle! They booked their 2023 wedding with me only a few weeks ago, and quickly made a wedding planning trip back home in Indianapolis. I was so glad we could squeeze in their Coxhall Gardens engagement photos and capture their sweet smiles in front of the summer sun! I’m so glad to share these photos with you on the blog!
Brooke and Kyle met on Match, and they truly are the perfect match! Their Coxhall Gardens engagement photos genuinely reflect how cute they are together.
Brooke and Kyle met back in 2016, and instantly had so much in common! They were both living in Indianapolis, and they realized Kyle had actually gone to college just 30 minutes away from the Ohio town that Brooke grew up in. Having shared Midwest roots, these two clicked right away when they met in person for the first time in Broad Ripple. Each year they recreate their first date – HopCat for dinner, and Broad Ripple Tavern for pool! I love that they celebrate their first date in this way – it is truly the sweetest!
After six years of being together, Kyle popped the question!
Kyle completely surprised Brooke when he proposed – the 6 months of planning was so worth it! After homecoming pictures got in the way of his first plan in Uptown Charlotte, he pulled off a gorgeous proposal in the small town of Waxhaw! He dropped down to one knee with a wooden bridge in the background, and then they celebrated with friends and family at their favorite Italian restaurant. Kyle’s proposal was perfect for the two of them, and definitely worth the wait
They are so sweet together, and I was so glad to get them in front of my camera!
Coxhall Garden and Palladium engagement photos are always so beautiful – there is the perfect ratio of nature and gorgeous buildings!
When we got to Coxhall Gardens, we started with “easy poses” that I like to warm up with- walking, smiling at the camera and a sweet kiss! I know it’s not common to have a lot of experience in front of a camera, so I start with smiles and natural poses like these to build our couples confidence so we can capture more genuine smiles and laughter later on! Before I knew it, we were capturing the sweet moments in between poses, where Brooke and Kyle were truly themselves! We then headed to the Palladium and lucked out – we had the place to ourselves, and the best light as the sun was just setting behind the tall buildings there.
Brooke and Kyle- capturing your Coxhall Gardens engagement photos makes me so excited for your Union Station wedding at Crowne Plaza in August of 2023!
Brooke and Kyle had to work hard to secure their date at Union Station, and were so wonderful about keeping me in the loop. By the time they were able to book their venue, they were so relieved that I was still available for their special date, which made me feel so honored! Brooke and Kyle, I am so excited for your wedding day already! Thank you for choosing Kaitlin Mendoza Photography to document your perfect wedding day!
