When I met Ariana and Tom at Newfields for their engagement session in September, I was beyond excited to finally meet them in person because only a few months before, these two asked me to photograph their destination wedding next year! I love taking on at least one destination wedding a year, and the fact that I get to head down South again where the golden light shines perfectly through the Spanish Moss trees, has me SO excited!! These two are getting married at The Jekyll Island Club Resort, where Tom’s family vacations every year. It’s going to be unbelievably beautiful!
How They Met:
“Tom and I met a year ago at Purdue when we were Resident Assistants in the same hall. He had been working/living there for two years and this was my first year as an RA. It was around 11:30pm on the day I moved in when I saw a text in the RA group chat. Tom and Cole (his best friend who was another RA) asked who had already moved in, so I liked the message. They then showed up at my door to meet me. I invited them in and we talked for a while. Cole thought it was very awkward, but Tom and I didn’t. The next few days, Tom was always very sweet to me and would help me out with just about anything and everything. After one of the times he helped me, he asked me out and we started dating (this was ~10 days after we met).”
