I was so excited to receive Maria’s inquiry for family photography in Carmel, Indiana! Not only was the sweet Guirados family wanting to capture some images while expecting baby number two, they also had Maria’s mom and step father in town from Argentina, and her sister and her two older kids joined us at the end which was so special. I adore this sweet little family, and love that they all can cherish these family photos for many years to come!

One of my favorite parts of offering family photography in Carmel, Indiana is getting to meet local families in my area. Mom and dad brought little David dressed in the cutest outfit of a button up and corduroy pants, and although he was busy moving around as two year olds do, we captured some great photos of him in his element. Not only did we capture photos of this sweet family of (soon-to-be) four, but during this extended family session we photograph Maria’s mom, stepfather, her sister, and her sister’s older kids as well! I just know the group family shot on the Coxhall Gardens stairs will be one that they hang on the wall of their home! Some of my favorite photos are of different family members holding and snuggling up with little David!
Extended sessions are a great way to incorporate more family members and knock out a few birds with one stone!
In just one family photography session in Carmel, Indiana, we captured family photos that serve well for Christmas cards, couple photos of just the grandparents, solo photos of a busy two year old, and even maternity photos at sunset for Maria! Booking an extended family photography session is always a great option, and sometimes with busy kids it’s just worth it to have extra time and combine sessions. I also love that The Guirados planned their session around their company visiting, and it’s just such a great way to remember a vacation or special time. I love seeing multiple generations of one family through these photos!
Coxhall Gardens is a favorite location for family photography in Carmel, Indiana.
In a session like this with so much on my shot list, I had no doubt Coxhall Gardens was the perfect place for The Guirados Family! There are so many spots to take advantage of – in front of the gorgeous brick house, the wooded areas, rolling hills, vast stairs, and of course, the pavilion! There is so much variety, and so much room for kids in particular to run around!
